I don't follow the hip-hop scene most every bit much as I use to, just I heard a cut were JD was st8 going off on Dre, Timbaland and Eminem.

Why is this? What happen? Was this suppose to exist a response to something they said nearly him.

And just for the record, Dre is all the same the coldest hip-hop producer in the industry.

I approximate that ole JD doesn't respect the legendary status of Dr. Dre and Timbaland. Have you heard the rails called "Say What You lot Say" yet. Information technology's on "The Eminem Show", where Slim, Dre and fifty-fifty Timbaland shoot dorsum confronting JD. I don't like JD personally, cause all he produces now is kiddie and party music. Timbaland does the same affair, but his beats are tight.

Another question

Looking at history, why did Snoop practise the "Welcome To Atlanta Remix" with JD?

C'mon, man....of course a boyfriend St. Louian would say that.
The song is pretty absurd, though.:D

I don't know what da hell JD thought by doing that ish! Showtime off, he is nothing only a wannabe Puff Daddy. Secondly, his rat faced azz walkin' around lookin' like a chewed up Tootsie Curlicue!
Thirdly, why would he shoot if he didn't have enough ammo to maintain an onslaught????:xeye:

Eminem was rather balmy to him on "Say What You Say" . Then he got X to the Z throwin' shots, and you know that Em was gonna make certain Dre's reply was tight. ;) It simply wasn't smarat to starting time it with artists who accept mad lyrical skills.

:thought:
Perhaps he just started smellin' himself and really thought that he WAS the best producer or something.

LOL@rat confront.

JD does wait similar someone just throw up hot Staplers on his face.

The just thing he good for is pimping lil boys for production: Kris Kross, DaBrat, BowWow etc.
The best matter JD had was that song with Jigga.

Im however trying to figure out the beef between him and KRS1.

Simply on the contrary, I am only tired of NELLY! :D

I mean, dayum!

True...I would not front on the brotha's success, because he is selling and doing his thing...but like I e'er say:

"Record sales and going multi-platinum does Not a direct correlation of being tight and having skillz!"

Me, and a lot of people like me come across a definite line between Hip Hop and Rap. Nelly is a rapper...I can't view him every bit being Hip Hop. No, it's not most "talking about the hood" considering Nelly DOES that.
To me...he "sings" more than he raps. True, some of his songs are good to dance to in a society, but yes...that could just be trip the light fantastic music. ;)

I like to mind to what artists are saying....not just hearing how the vocal sounds. I enjoy lyrical prowess in "my" Hip Hop...I don't see that with Nelly.
And to exist honest, it's non even about the subject affair that makes the difference (a practiced emcee can period most anything and nevertheless be nice)....information technology'south the entire packaging, delivery, and way of the whole thing.
To me, expert Hip Hop is quite oft "unpopular" to the masses....but it's the masses who I can't really relate to anyhow. And yes nosotros all know who the masses are.

Just considering 3 million white kids buy your stuff, does that mean that you should be considered "the ish"?....I promise non. ;)

Praise Jesus Brother!!!

I totally agree with you lot. Nelly is non the strongers Lyrical MC out, merely they kid is doing his thing. I dont think he "intended" to crossover. simply he has.

I like lyrics, like the type that Nas, Jigga, OutKast, and dem put down. Nelly is a little too singsongish for me, only he repping my City & Country so its all Love.

He may annoying equally Bobble-heads, JaRule and the PowerPuff girls combined, but I remember he has Staying Power.

STL to HEART!

Its hard for me to empathise why well-nigh of yall are hating on "JD". This blood brother is very talented and is a real musician that actually "produces" his music without having to have a squad of producers to do music for him like "Puffy". "JD" has several successful groups under his wings yet about of yall still dont respect this man. So what, if he'south hot with "Bow-Wow" at this time, and his music is.....kiddie oriented, but what are you to expect coming from a 13/14? year onetime. I bet if "JD" was from 1 of yall hometowns, you'a be giving him mad props and reppin yo city. "JD" has been in the game for a long fourth dimension and still going. I could get down the listing of all his many successes, but that'll be to easy.

Now, am I sayin he'a better producer than Dre or Timbo, nope, but he is definately on that level. Is Puffy a meliorate producer than JD?....H*LL NO! Puffy caint produce.

Ntelekt,
I feel'ya on Nelly.....he dont rap, he sings. If you ask Nelly to freestyle, that'll be interesting to hear.

Thanks, PsiSnake. :)

But in regard to Nelly, I tin put JD in the aforementioned category.

I sympathise you supportin' the habitation team and he is EXTREMELY successful....but like I said before:

"Tape sales and going multi-platinum does Not a straight correlation of being tight and having skillz!"

He produces everything himself, but MOST of his production is Puffyesque. He doesn't just use samples (which I take no real trouble with)...merely takes Entire songs and just adds lyrics. Sometimes he even takes tracks that are SAMPLES THEMSELVES!

When was the last time yous heard a runway laid down past Ratboy that was actually original????
Think about it for a minute; it's i affair to recyles beats....only to recyle SAMPLES all the time??? :xeye:
Hell, you would've thought that HE was producing for Ashanti!

Yep...I can never argue with success or longevity...but equally far every bit having skills and actually showing creativity in his art....JD doesn't do that anymore. :p
Dre e'er comes up with new sounds, and Timbo (even though I'thou not a huge fan) has a style all his ain....but Jermaine Dupree doesn't lay downwards ISH that makes his stuff stand out.
Any producer tin can take a beat that's already been done to decease and brand a hit from it.....because the people they target don't know whatever ameliorate and actually think that information technology's some new stuff....;)

My $0.38 cents.....

I wish I had an opportunity to view the magazine commodity, but my take on it is that JD, of whom I purchase his music, feels that when the topic of 'All-time Producers' comes up in everyday conversation, his proper name doesn't come upward. It's more about respect than anything.

In my stance, his inclusion into the Producing Elite is fool-hardy at best (check Ntelekt's post) because Tim and Dre (and a few others which have sparked a debate on this) for lack of a better phrase, "changed the game". Dre with his W Declension signature, Tim with the abstruse beats...merely I don't run into JD up there from that standpoint.

Heck, I'd put Manny Fresh and the RZA in a higher place JD in that aspect, but I do think that JD is exceptionally talented.

Timbaland aint all that either

Mayne, Timbaland sounds like he stole the Memphis rap sound to me. When I outset heard him back in the day with Missy I thought i was listening to some hole-and-corner DJ Paul. I aint from Memphis, so this isnt' even personal. Bone and Timbaland accept made a career off of stealing from Memphis. If you notice he aint pubbing a Virginia sound, hell VA is directly east declension anyhow. Timbaland and Os are crooks. If anybody from Memphis is on this lath they will know i aint lying. JD's beats are whack. Dre is King.
